More than Bowling at the Heart of Rivington

Showcased in the Commonwealth Games, Rivington Country Park is the legacy of Lord Leverhulme for the people of the North-West to enjoy. Nestled on the north embankment of the Horrobin Lane Bridge, that bisects the Rivington reservoir into its Upper and Lower lakes, lies the Rivington Bowling Club,Bar and Tea room. Steeped in local history at the heart of this area of outstanding natural beauty, there is no better place to enjoy a few ends of bowls or locally produced fare and just soak up the natural tranquillity that is Rivington Country Park. A walk through the woods or around the lakeside can both start and finish at the Bar/Tea Rooms. Or call in for refreshments whilst enjoying one of the many local events held in the Park. The Facility is no longer a members club and is privately owned by Neil Taylor ,holding a full public license , so everybody is very welcome to enjoy this stunningly located club.

The Tea Room uses locally produced ingredients and specialities, such as Huntley’s "Moo2You" Ice Cream, Fresh local Breads s, to satisfy both the hungry tummy and the discerning palette.

Bowling Green

The Bowling Green is open to novices and casual users alike to enjoy; as well as home to the Rivington Bowling Club. Rivington Bowling Club enters teams into local leagues and plays host to open competitions throughout the season.

The Tea Room and Clubhouse host evening and all-day events throughout the year and also provide a special venue, for up to 70 persons, available to hire for private, social and corporate events. Contact us for availability and to discuss your particular catering, entertainment and other requirements.
